Do's and Don'ts when translating?
Do's
- Be Consistent: It's very easy with crowdin to check how words have been used before. Just have another translation tab open and use the search feature (the magnifying glass at the top of the "Texts to translate" list) to search for the English word you want to check.
- Context: In case you are lacking information to give an appropriate translation, use these:
- Singular over Plural
- Masculine over Feminine
- General over Specific
- Most probable outcome
- Use Comments: The crowdin translation interface has a Comment section at the side. Often other language teams will have already put useful advice or suggestions there. Read them.
- No translation can be better than a bad translation: If you're not sure about a translation, either take the time to find the best solution or just leave it to someone else.
- Avoid accents on capital letters: They do not look good in Minecraft font.
- Reorder words: Do not forget to arrange the order of the words if it is grammatically correct in your language
- Localisation: If an word or sentence does not translate well feel free to apply a suitable non direct translation, Another option is if a english word is commonly known/used in your language feel free to keep that word english.
Dont's
- Machine Translation: Computer translation has come a long way, but it won't give you a quality translation and for many languages it will give you complete rubbish.
- Spaces: Do not add a space before punctuation even if that is correct in your language.
- Variables: Are easily identified by the follow format: %%text%% You should never translate a variable and crowdin does a great job highlighting them green but is not prefect. Strings should include all variables included in original string and make sure you don’t add spaces where they do not belong!
- Multi Line Translations: Some translations can span over several lines make sure you don't remove these lines when translating.
- Words & Titles to not translate: (see mini game specific for examples) 这里中文有部分豁免，参见主楼
- Game Names: Hypixel, Skywars, Arcade Lobby, Football.
- Currencies: Coins, Souls etc.
- Level Display : Experience, EXP.
- Stats: Leadboard, Kills, Deaths, Wins.
- Kit or Perks Names
- Mini Game Specific: These are word and title examples of what to not translate in each mini game, We may of missed some items but these list should give you an good idea of things you may come across if you don't actively play these modes yourself.

经过与Hypixel首席运营官Noxy的交流，Hypixel已在矿工茶馆版公开向大家问好，并征集志愿者：Hypixel向大家问好！
与此同时，我与论坛管理员@rom718 均获得了Hypixel项目的proofreader权限，现向所有翻译爱好者以及Hypixel玩家公开征集翻译

请注意：本翻译项目无任何实物或金钱报酬——包括我和rom718都一样。但我们会为最终翻译成型后取得较高采纳率的前几位翻译者向Noxy请求授予某些奖励。

How to get started:
- Register (or sign in) at crowdin.net
- Fill in your Profile (include your Minecraft username if you like)
- Find your language on the Project Page
- Click your language you would like to help with.
- Then click Join next to the "You must join the translators team to be able to participate in this project." Message.
- A team member will review your application and accept you.
- Once accepted, Check your language's Discussions tab for hints/issues
- Introduce yourself and say hello to the team.
- Please see our guide on the “Do's and Don'ts when translating”
- Go back to the Files tab and hit the Translate or Vote button!
几条规定：
- 对于翻译须知，经过Noxy首肯，在Words & Titles to not translate中，简体中文翻译在遵循第一行Game Names时，可以加括号注释。例如: Skywars可以提交为Skywars（空岛战争）。其它几条无需理会，直接翻译便是。
- 如果发现你提交了明显错误的机翻结果，我会毫不犹豫的取消你的Translator资格——我已经这么干了

敢问为什么一个国外的小游戏服务器的汉化项目能够获得置顶？

有合作关系也不能漠视坛规 ._. 一般人发这种帖子是肯定会被删的吧 （不然我去发个xx服务器牌子文字英文化项目来宣传服务器）
是否应该在坛规里面加上一条 “由sjjklh发的与Hypixel相关的帖子不受本条限制”。
其实你说有合作关系，你帮他们找人翻译，然后给你们钱来发展论坛其实我是没有任何意见的，但是既然有了这句话：

其实还是很让人好奇的，所以说你还是告诉大家你们到底想干嘛吧。
因为毕竟让大多数人（包括我）做点事情（比如翻译）来支持论坛还是挺乐意的，但是如果说没有任何说明就要求大家给一个纯商业的服务器做事的话，这个是不是就有点那啥了。

如果他们是检测我们客户端使用的语言来换的话，那我选英文语言，进hypixel就是英文，客户端是中文，进hypixel就中文，但是我又很喜欢英文的粗的英文字体啊....

无法检测客户端语言，但可以根据IP确定国家

给一些想申请的人一些提示（我已加入并且翻译完成360+条目）
1、你的申请里尽量避免语法错误并简洁
2、修改你的名片（在Crowdin右上角，人物图像右边）写明你的正版id等。
3、尽量避免机翻，比如Player翻译成球员。当我第一次翻译的时候已经笑死了xD
4、在每条翻译项目的讨论区（comment）尽量使用英文。因为你在这里的东西是可以让其他语言的人看见的
大概就是这样。截止我发帖为止，翻译已经完成了48%

你可以通过/language （ENGLISH）来切换你的语言。而且这项自动检测功能需要手动开启

哇，可是那有什么卵用，我一般进Hypixel苦恼的不是英文而是网速，重要的是在中国建服务器，中国土豪很多，肯定会动不动投个几百上千进去，到时候Hypixel就能把建服务器的钱赚回来了，知道吗
